Career
Kvapil is a two-time CARS Tour champion (2022, 2023) who made the jump to full-time national-series competition with JR Motorsports. His short-track pedigree is exceptional, he dominated the CARS Tour during back-to-back championship runs and arrived at the O'Reilly level with more technical-track credibility than most rookies. He is the older brother of Caden Kvapil, who made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at Bristol in September 2026.
Corey Day led 136 of 201 laps from the pole, then had to take the lead back from Carson Kvapil twice in the last 12. Sheldon Creed kept the Chase lead, now 19 points over Kvapil, after Justin Allgaier was caught in an early crash.
Sheldon Creed passed William Sawalich on an overtime restart and won the Food City 300 at Bristol by 0.253 seconds, leading only the final three laps. Carson Kvapil and Jesse Love led 240 laps between them and finished 24th and 17th. Creed now leads the O'Reilly Series Chase by 11 points over Justin Allgaier with six races left.
Jesse Love took the lead with fifteen laps to go and won the Nu Way 225 at World Wide Technology Raceway, his first victory of 2026. Sheldon Creed finished second and left St. Louis leading the O'Reilly Series Chase by three points over Justin Allgaier, who has won six races this season to Creed's two.
Creed led the final 53 laps and won Saturday night's Fleetio 200 by 2.961 seconds, his second career win in the series. Allgaier led more laps than anyone, hit the wall with 23 to go and finished 17th. His championship lead, 229 points in August and 25 after the Chase reset, is now seven.
Justin Allgaier ended the regular season 229 points clear. The Chase reset left him 25 ahead of teammate Carson Kvapil going into Saturday's Fleetio 200 at Darlington, where Allgaier has four spring wins and none in the fall.
The NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series opens its first Chase on Saturday night at Darlington. The 12 drivers, the reset points, the track history, the tire and the schedule.
Sieg led two laps at Daytona, the last two of the race. He arrived holding the series record for most runner-up finishes without a win, and he leaves the regular season 15th in points, outside the Chase.
Kvapil came in tied for the most runner-up finishes without a win in series history. He led the last 22 laps at Indianapolis to end it, and JR Motorsports took the next three spots behind him.
The team has put a car in the top 10 in 78 straight races. One more ties the all-time mark. Chase Elliott is in the car on the oval where his father won the Brickyard 400.
Justin Allgaier came from 16th through 13 cautions and three red flags to win the Focused Health 250 at Atlanta, his sixth O'Reilly Series win of the season. He now leads the championship by 240 points.
Connor Hall went home to Langley Speedway and held off Niece Motorsports teammate Landen Lewis for a CARS Tour Late Model Stock win, while Caden Kvapil charged from 15th to third to extend his points lead.
